“Women’s rights are human rights!” still the message as we celebrate women today on International Women’s day. A day for us all to join voices and forces with people around the world, a day to shout clearly our message for equal rights and calling out inequality
A day I celebrate all women in all facets of life, race, faith and ethnicity, I celebrate women’s achievements, I celebrate women pioneers who have challenged the status quo and I celebrate women battling one thing or the other, its hard but we fight and we’ll win.
This year’s theme for the International Day March 8th, “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world” celebrates the tremendous efforts by women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
As women stand at the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis, as health care workers, caregivers, innovators we reflect on the extraordinary role women have played in the course of history in their communities, we reflect on women who put in the work every minute and day calling for change.
As we celebrate women who are on the frontline, the IWD 2021 campaign theme: #ChooseToChallenge is putting out a challenge to the world because as it is, nowhere in the world has achieved gender equality but we will still continue the fight for equality in every sphere of the woman live.
Happy #InternationalWomensDayto all the queens! 👑 This year’s theme is #ChooseToChallenge ✨

A challenge for change to gender bias,
A challenge for change to inequality,
A challenge for change where women are policy makers,
A challenge for change where more women are national and global leaders
A challenge for change to create an inclusive world.
On this day, March 8 2021, with one hand high a pose that stood out for change, Individuals across the world showed commitment to #ChooseToChallenge inequality, call out bias, question stereotypes, and help forge an inclusive world.

I celebrate all women who went all out to prove to the world that as a woman, you are fire, you have power and you can do it.
I celebrate Nigerian women, wow! You are strong, you are soft, you are emotional, you deserve pampering, you are hard, you are wise, you are smart, you are beautiful and you are life.
I celebrate the academics, our athletes, footballers, gold medalists, musicians, entrepreneurs, the scholars and career driven women who never gave up, you are my heroes. You’ve shown the world what achieving is in a toxic world, you survived by your own strength and by your hard work.
RIP to a champion Chisom Chukwuneke, she was the best 2019 candidate of the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in her school. I celebrate you.
I celebrate your mother, I celebrate mine, I celebrate our past female heroes and our recent heroes, I celebrate our future women coming into a world where I hope would be softer, a world where equality is a norm, where women are valued and respected for who they are and what they can do.
The change has to start from ourselves. The way we talk, think, and act every day can create a ripple effect that benefits everyone for good and for the future.
