Senator Godswill Akpabio has emerged the new President of the Senate, while Jibrin Barau, emerged as the Deputy Senate President unopposed.
Goodswill succeeded Senator Abdul’aziz Yari to emerge the new Senate President of the 10th Senate after scoring 63 votes defeating his rival Senator Yari who scored 46 votes.
Abbas Tajudeen has been declared the new speaker of the house of representatives with Benjamin Kalu as his deputy. Tajudeen won with a total vote of 353.
