The new Microsoft windows 11 features
As a user of Windows, I am thrilled and excited for the new Microsoft Windows 11 features but unfortunately my PC through the PC health check app informed me I won’t be one of the many to enjoy the windows 11. there goes my bad news for October 2021. Sad and extremely jealous does not describe how exactly I feel knowing I’ll not be able to upgrade to Microsoft’s newest major release, windows 11.
The successor to Windows 10 was made available to the public on the 5th of October, unlike me your system may just be able to upgrade to the new Windows 11 if you meet the requirements. The transition from windows 10 to 11 should feel natural because it was built on the same foundation you are familiar with. it’s being simplified and modernized with an interface designed only to inspire end-user productivity and creativity to support your everyday work
So, what’s so great about the new Windows 11?
Windows 11 is the next client operating system, and includes features that organizations should know. Windows 11 is built on the same foundation as Windows 10. If you use Windows 10, then Windows 11 is a natural transition and update to what you know, and what you’re familiar with.
Now, you can use many apps and tools on the new window 11, New features like Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 can be used.
More appealing display
There’s a better use of space, color and iconography on the windows 11. It has a new refined look that’s more modern and designed specifically for the devices of today. It has an interface that’s easier to use on a touchscreen without a keyboard (more clarity and space with the visuals, larger menu buttons, and so on) to make Windows even better on tablets and 2-in-1 devices
Snap Layouts and Multitasking
Users can arrange app windows on-screen, snap layouts appear as options in the Taskbar, so that you can either open the group of apps or the single app. You also see layouts preserved when you open a group of apps on an external monitor multiple time.

There’s a more detailed breakdown of how you drain your battery in windows 11. Open up Windows Settings, choose System and Power & battery. Select battery usage for more detailed stats
The Clock App
The Clock app in the new Windows 11 has features that includes Focus sessions. So, the clock app wont only tell you the time but will help you stay focused for specific periods of work and study. When you open it, you’ll be invited to set up your tasks and timings. To make it more interesting, the clock app integrates with the To Do app that lets you add songs from your Spotify playlist for full concentration.
Microsoft team chat integration
The new windows 11 will allow users connect instantly via text, chat, voice or video (facetime, etc) with personal contacts regardless of which platform or device is being used across Microsoft Windows, Android or iOS. Users can now instantly mute and unmute or start a presentation directly from the taskbar in the new OS.
Latest gaming technology
According to Microsoft for gamers, ” the windows 11 unlocks the full potential of your system’s hardware, putting some of the latest gaming technology to work for you”. It features DirectX 12 Ultimate, which enables immersive graphics at high frame rates; Direct Storage for faster load times and more detailed game worlds; and Auto HDR for a wider, more vivid range of colors
Users will be able to open their Windows 11 desktop and access widgets directly from the Taskbar, they will be able to personalize them to whatever they want. The windows 11 Widgets offers new opportunities to deliver personalized content for creators and publishers
Good news for developers
The new PWABuilder3 and WebView2 will help developers build PWA in minutes from their web app and WebView2 will make it easier to take advantage for a more secure way to build hybrid web apps.
With the new ARM64 Emulation Compatible ABI developers will be able to build apps.
Reunion Windowing also will allow developers to easily manage and create app windows.
Manage Multiple Desktops Faster
The virtual desktop in Windows 10 is now easier to use and more discoverable in Windows 11. By default, you’ll see a Desktops button down in the taskbar after installing the new OS (the icon showing two rectangles). Hover over it and click new desktop to give yourself some additional space to give your programs more room, without requiring any extra physical displays.
Android apps on Windows.
The Microsoft Store will allow users to discover and use Android apps via the Amazon Appstore.

Users will have one safe location for apps and content to watch, create, play, work and learn. According to Microsoft, the Store “has been rebuilt for speed and with an all-new design that is beautiful and simple to use. Not only will we bring you more apps than ever before, we’re also making all content—apps, games, shows, movies—easier to search for and discover with curated stories and collections.”
Apps such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Teams, Canva, Disney, Zoom and more will be available in the Microsoft Store.
A more functional Start Menu
This is one of the changes you will notice first, the redesigned Start menu. it features your file, browsing history, list of application shortcuts. Go to Personalization and Start from Windows Settings to configure the feature.
The Security and scanning
The security and privacy for your devices starts with the hardware, and includes OS security, application security, and user & identity security. There are features available in the Windows OS to help in these areas. You get access to virus & threat protection, firewall & network protection, account protection, and more.
Microsoft Defender Antivirus is built into Windows, and helps protect devices using next-generation security. When used with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, your organization gets strong endpoint protection, and advanced endpoint protection & response.
The Application Security features help prevent unwanted or malicious code from running, isolate untrusted websites & untrusted Office files, protect against phishing or malware websites, and more.
Windows Hello for Business helps protect users and identities. It replaces passwords, and uses a PIN or biometric that stays locally on the device
