Rema sets Guinness world record for being the first ever No.1 hit on Mena chart with “Calm down”
Rema has always done things his way and proven that he is here to make a mark, an artist who pioneered his own genre Afrorave, a subgenre afrobeats has topped worldwide charts with hit single “Calm Down”.
The Mavin star who has racked up international fame and fast growing fans worldwide has over 39,965,395 monthly listeners on Spotify, the hit single has 390,621,638 streams and its viral remix with Selena Gomez has gotten over 725,671,148 streams.
The song “calm down” went global and made Rema a Guinness World Record holder as it emerged as the first single to top the official MENA chart.
Incase you’re wondering, MENA is an acronym for “Middle East and North Africa”, it is the grouping of all countries in the Middle East and North Africa region.
